Stomach in My Stomach

This week was a good one! I am always wanting to get on the internet and just overload with all of the funny things that happened that week. Ya, just gotta live life to the fullest ya know? The most precious thing that happened this week is a new convert ... well of 8 months that we go to visit every once in a while. We went to visit her this week and she told us that her best friend was going to be marriend that week. ( she has been talking about this since I came to Jxxx) and that she wasn't going to go. Super shocked, we asked why and she told us that her health kept her from going and that her poor feet hurt way too bad to even walk to a taxi to take her. We were deeply saddened for her and only wanted her to go. We told her that we would gladly take her to the wedding and try our best to take her in comfort so that she could see her friend be married. As we said that, her I eyes just lit up! She got so happy! Satuday comes and we go to her house and Loida decides that she doesn't want to go. I was so sad. She was in so much pain and it kept her from being able to move much and she didn't think she could suffer it. So we went to the wedding and took a video of the whole thing! We came back to show her all of the videos and I don't think I have ever seen her happier! It was a tender experience.

This week we went to a less actives house and she asked us if we wanted soup. We hungrily accepted, of course, and she stared us down as we ate a bite. After our first bite, she tells us that the noodles inside are actually the insides/ pieces of a cow stomach. New plate. Never had that before. It'll take some getting used to... but I'm sure it'll be great.

Other picture I've attached... It's a little cold in Jxxxx (at night) but during the day it's hot so we always carry our jackets around. Once the cold hits, I get that jacket on so fast! Usually, it just goes on like that. ( big booty bag )

Also this week was a big ol party in plaza and there were people in a huge parade. We had to cross the street in front of everyone and they all started staring at us so I told my companion we should just keep walking and wave like princesses because they're all lookin at us anyway, ahahha it was fun. Okay! Last thing that I just have to say!!!! I have forgotten to say it for a good three weeks now. YOU DONT NEED REFRIGERATORS FOR JELLO. I love jello! So how cool? you just mix it all up and leave it out all night and tadaaaa! thats how cold it is, hahahaha.

Wow, what an adventure is this little mission. I feel so blessed to have the experiences that I have and to meet the people that I meet. I am so thankful to my Father in Heaven who has granted me with so many blessings. I only hope that I can serve to the best of my ability so that I can stand blameless before God and Christ. I love this work. It is the work of God. The work of salvation. I know that my Redeemer lives and loves us to. I testify of these things.

I love you all so much!
tengan una buena semana!

This is going to be a short and sweet email because this keyboard is really irritating me right now. This week was really amazing, kind of hard but still amazing! I mean we've gotta look for the positivity in our lives. If we sit here and sulk on all of the bad things in life, how are we going to feel? SAD duh!

We gave a date to Michelle. She is super cute and she told us that she already knew the church was true and she just accepted so quickly, what a little miracle? I love her! This mission is such a wonderful experience and I want to rejoice everyday that I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ and I am his representative. This week I have been thinking a lot lately on how I can better be a representative of the Lord and it makes me really reflect on the covenant of baptism. We promise to take on his name. How do we do that? We need to emulate him, be like him. Do what he would do. and when we don't, we repent. I am trying to think of Christ more and more every day and when I don't I repent and change my thoughts. I love this Gospel so much and I know its true. I know that Heavenly Father blesses his children and that he is always watching over us. I love all of you so much!

Something funny? Well, it rained like a beast the other day and that happened to be the day that I forgot my jacket... look at me. And then we had an appointment but the roads were full of puddles the size of lakes and mud EVERYWHERE and I was wearing flats. I'm starting to realize how smart I am. But I think I can be a little smarter... by the end, we were trudging through the mud and soaking wet. It didn't even phase us that we were walking straight through the humongous puddles in....  flats... oh well, it was funny. At the end of the day, I was so cold that I couldn't feel my hands and we couldn't open our door because the feeling in our hands was just not there.
hahah love you all so much!!
ps no picture... my sd card got eaten by the computer....  :(

got the sd card out, yeah, here's her pic:

So this week was a little roller coaster. I have so much fun everyday but at the same time ya gotta have those little down hill rough times right?? This week was a little rougher than normal. So much happened and some of it was just not pleasant. I came out of all of this leaning something wonderful and making it all worth it. I'm sure we all know that trials make us stronger, but they really do. I think the times when I have grown the most on the mission is when I have passed through something really hard. We have so much potential as children of God and I think that Heavenly Father just wants to stretch us to that potential sometimes. He knows what we can be and what can help us to be that person and he just stretches us. I know that if we endure our trials with a good attitude and a knowledge that we can only come out stronger, Heavenly Father will bless us even more. I have learned so much and I am so thankful for every experience that I have had. This life is so short and we can only be happy right?

This week we also invited a sweet woman to be baptized and at first she was a little unsure but once we helped her understand the blessings that come and how important it is to be baptized, she accepted! I was so happy and overjoyed! I know that this church is true and that the gospel blesses families. I know that one day we will all stand before our Savior and we will not deny the Gospel. I love this wonderful oportunity to serve and to be a dicsiple of Christ. I know this church is true with all my heart and I know that the Lord blesses the hearts of the weak. I know that my redeemer lives and I know that He loves me too!
Today we hiked up to the Cristo Blanco and I really liked this picture of this cool gold thingamajiger.

I fell again this week but I'm getting more sly with it to the point where I fall but I'm up before my companion even knows I fell. It's a weekly thing. I'll come home with two very large scars on both of my knees. CHEVERE!

Love you all! I tried to think of a funny story for this week but I can't really think... mind block... guess I'm not funny.. clasico

WOW what a week. I'm telling you that every week just gets better and better, and faster and faster, and then before you know it you're almost half way done whatttt... Anyways this week was amazing and kind of... well difficult at the same time. We had so many people fail on us and lots of walking around because we don't have very much money to take busses. Pretty much every night we went to bead DEAD but ya know what? It is sooo worth it! We prayed long and hard to complete with the standards of that week and that if we would be obedient and work our hardest that we could meet all of our goals and guess what??? TENDER MERCIES! We did!! Remember Hernan who's going to get married to Kathy (Our penionistas daughter)? Well we put a date on them so that Hernan could get baptized! What an amazing feeling to help others come unto Christ. It is my ultimate pride and joy here when I can help just one person to receive the joy that I have in my life everyday. This mission is a wonderful blessing in my life and I am seeing miracles everyday. I wish I could share all of them with you!!

Funny story of the week.
I was contacting someone in their store and mid conversation, Hermana M started contacting this old man in the street. By the time I was done and she was done, I asked her what his name was and she told me Edi Berto and that he wanted us to come to his house because he was a member and that he needed help. So the next day we pass by his house and some old woman yells QUIEN? (who?) and my companion yelled EDI BERTO! and then she told us to leave her alone and to never come to her house so I yelled NO ESTAMOS AQUI PARA USTED (we're not here for you, we're here for Edi berto) and she yelled something else and we left. A little later, a woman on the side of the street told us that no one named Edi Berto lives there but we probably meant Giermo... hahahah so embarrassing. Life of a white girl in Peru.. not understanding their names.

Anyways, I am so happy here and everyday is an adventure. I love my mission but more than all I love these people. Pray for them! They are all so amazing!

Heres a picture of me and my gorgeous companion.
