In Concilio, we took a jumping picture and Elder Yorgeson perfectly got in on it |
Man, I really can not complain. I have the greatest mission in the world. I have so many amazing experiences everyday and I Just feel so blessed to be here as a representative of Jesus Christ. I love him and I know he loves me. This week has been amazing and has passed by way too quickly. My companion goes home in a week and it makes me realize how precious time is. This week we were super busy with all kinds of activities and fun stuff. On tuesday, we had concilio (the leader meeting) and we talked about all kinds of good stuff, and ate lasangna. Then, the next day, we had a huge zone conference with president in the mountains and it was really pretty! I learned all kinds of life lessons there ahha... Then, on friday, we did divisions with the other sister leaders and visited lots of people. I was with Hermana .... We visited lots of amazing people and contacted too. One person we visited was a reference from a reference from a contact and we didn't really have much success every time we went to their house.. But, his time, their daughter let us in and we helped her to cut and open chili peppers. We started talking and sharing our purpose and message. She told us that she wanted to be like us and teach people! Then, her mom walks in and just starts laughing. Then she goes "but the chili will burn your hands!!!" She was really impressed ahha. So she invited us to bread and herbal tea and as we sat down, her husband walks in. So we decided to share a message with the whole family. At the end, the dad gave the prayer and he even started choking up. It was such a great experience and he was showing a good example to his children! It was truly touching.
Conference in the mountains |
I love this work so much. It makes me so happy and I know that the Lord is blessing me and my family and those around me for this and I feel so thankful.
Now for the creepy story ahahha.
So YESTERDAY, we were heading to an appointment and we got on a bus. Lots of people got on the bus so my companion got shoved to the back of the bus. When we got to the bus stop where we had to get off, my companion yelled to me that I needed to pay because she didn't have any money so I frantically got off the bus and payed for her but when I turned around, she wasn't there... I was all alone... and it was dark... and she had the cell phone. Honestly... I was really scared. So I thought for a second on what I should do and I looked at the girl next to me and asked her if I could use her phone after I explained my situation and she goes, "I don't have minutes" then I looked at the other lady and NO ONE WANTED TO LET ME USE THEIR PHONE. Then finally a man let me use his phone and i talked to my companion and I found out that she got off two bus stops later and we walked to meet up. I felt so strongly that I needed to contact that man and share something with him but I didn't get the chance... because I was alone. So, we sent him a message and an hour later he writes back saying.... dont worry pretty. Who wouldnt help someone as angelical as you....
maybe the elders can teach him... ahahha
